I provide counseling to good parents who want to be better parents. This often means parents of children who feel held back by anxiety about if they’re doing a good-enough job at this parenting gig or would like to undo old, ingrained patterns that are getting in the way of connecting with their kids. I help parents recover from anxiety and shame, especially as it relates to perfectionism, healing from traumatic experiences and creating sustainable patterns for life-long health that they can then pass on and model for their children. I believe that healthy children have healthy parents. I have life experience that makes me an ideal therapist for T1 diabetics and female clergy.
